Common questions
Does USCIS require a notarized translation?
No. Under 8 CFR § 103.2(b)(3), USCIS only requires a signed Certificate of Accuracy from a competent translator — not a notary. Notarization is an optional add-on (+$25) for courts or agencies that specifically request it.
Can I translate my own document?
